Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing Officer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials and services necessary for our construction projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Management: Source and purchase construction materials and services, ensuring the best quality and price.
- Vendor Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with project managers to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analyses and prepare reports to assist in budget planning and cost control.
- Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant information.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Officer or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
